Program updates

The current PPL Non-Residential programs (Phase III) will conclude on May 31, 2021. If you have a project that will complete on or before May 31, 2021, all project details and documentation will need to be submitted into the portal by June 15, 2021. We understand that this is a short timeline, but due to mandated program requirements, all projects must be closed out quickly. If the project information and documentation is not submitted into the portal by June 15, your project may no longer be eligible and will forfeit the incentives.

If your project timeline has changed, and the project will complete after May 31, 2021, please reach out to your account manager and provide updated project details. If your project completion date moves into June, or later, your project will fall into the new program schedule and incentives will not be forfeited. The PPL Business Efficiency team appreciates your assistance as we close out one program so another 5-year program can begin.

Are you talking to your customers about Non-Energy Benefits?

We appreciate all you do in helping customers understand the savings benefits of energy efficiency, but are you talking to the customers about Non-Energy Benefits (NEBs)? NEBs are the diverse benefits produced by energy efficiency in addition to energy and demand savings. NEBs are very important to many customers, sometimes more important than the energy benefits.

These include:

• Improved safety
• Improved comfort
• Increased employee productivity and retention
• Reduced operation and maintenance costs
• Improved aesthetics
• Higher customer satisfaction
• Increased property values

Be sure to help your customers understand the full value of their energy efficiency project by taking the NEBs into account.

Direct Discount Program

Applications for the Direct Discount Program are for retrofit projects only. Projects that are determined to be new construction will not be eligible. The small business account must have a certificate of occupancy and be in operation to submit an application.

Distributor Instant Discount Program

Are you getting quotes for lighting projects? Is your distributor including the PPL instant discounts on the quote? If not, work with your distributor to make certain that the incentives are part of the quote every time.
