New HVAC efficiency standards in effect

SEER, EER, and HSPF ratings have changed to SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2 as of January 1, 2023. The changes include new test procedures and higher minimum energy efficiency. The ratings will apply to all Single Phase ductless mini-splits, air-source heat pumps, and air conditioners. Units that are currently rated for SEER, EER, and HSPF will continue to be eligible for incentives through May 31, 2023. Units submitted after June 1, 2023 not currently rated in SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2 will need to be converted to second generation values in order to determine eligibility.

To ensure that your equipment qualifies for our program, please confirm with your distributor if the appliance meets the new ratings requirements before purchasing.

Direct Discount Program

As a reminder, we review our active Direct Discount Program contractor list every January and June. If you’re a Direct Discount Program contractor who has not participated in the past six months and would like to remain on our list, you must submit a project or retake our contractor training course to remain active. Please note that the password for our Resources for Direct Discount Contractor webpage has changed for 2023. Active contractors can reach out to Melissa Lehr for the new password.
