Midstream expansion

We’ve expanded our Midstream Program with new measures and incentives. Now, you can find incentives for projects including compressed air, refrigeration and VFDs. Check our website for the updated flyers and incentives to share with your customers. Important Instant Discounts Program update

Due to program guideline changes, LED Downlight Retrofit Kits will no longer be eligible for incentives under the PPL Instant Discounts Program. As of October 4, 2025, LED Downlight Retrofit Kits are now only eligible through the Downstream Program. We previously provided a 30-day notice to allow time for reimbursement submissions for products purchased before the effective date. If you sold any LED Downlight Retrofit Kits prior to October 4, you may still submit those for reimbursement, but no new sales of these products should occur moving forward.

While reimbursement will be honored through October 4th for products already sold, we respectfully request that no additional LED Downlight Retrofit Kits be sold moving forward. Our goal is to comply with statewide lighting guidance and remove these products from the Midstream Program as soon as possible, with October 4th serving as the final deadline.

Program phase reminder

If you weren’t aware, we are now in the last program year of the current phase of Act 129. Be sure to make your customers aware of this when discussing projects and quoting incentives and savings.

All projects completed by May 31, 2026, will be eligible for the current incentive rate. If a project is completed on or after June 1, 2026, it should still be submitted to the program, and we will be in touch to discuss the project’s eligibility.

RCx Lite reminder

Retro-commissioning Lite, or RCx Lite, was introduced at our recent contractor events and is now eligible for incentives. RCx Lite is a streamlined process of building optimization for smaller buildings. Participating buildings are typically less than 100,000 square feet and include single-zone, constant-air-volume HVAC systems, small-to-medium boilers and air-cooled or small water-cooled chillers.

RCx Lite can achieve meaningful energy savings from tuning up existing equipment, calibrating sensors and making setpoint changes. To learn more about eligibility and requirements, please reach out to Bud Fogleman at bud.fogleman@clearesult.com.
